Hi, my name is Jacey. I began working part-time at Thunder Hawk Care in 2015 when I was 16. After I graduated High School in 2018, I began working full time in our Toddler Room. I have worked with all age groups, and I am currently working in the Infant Room. I am presently working on obtaining my CDA, Child Development Associates Degree, so that I can become a Lead Teacher for Infants and Toddlers. What I love most about working with the infants is seeing their smiling faces each day, and watching them reach new milestones.

Hello! My name is Shelly, I have lived in Montevideo for the past 34 years. I am married and have 3 children, and 1 grandchild. I began working in childcare back in 2001, when I was hired at Kinder Kare Preschool. I worked with Preschoolers up until Kinder Kare moved its program to Sanford Elementary in 2012. In 2013, it was decided to add a Toddler Room to our program, and I worked with Toddlers until the Infant Room was opened in 2014. I have been with infants ever since, I love working with the babies and getting to know their wonderful families.

Hi! My name is Deanna, but I go by Dee! I live outside of Clarkfield on a farm with my husband Jim. We have been married for 30 years, and together we have 4 children and 8 grandchildren. I previously worked as a CNA/HHA, and a Home Care Coordinator in Clarkfield for 20 years. I came to Thunder Hawk Care in July of 2017, and have worked in the Infant Room ever since. It is a joy to see the babies learn and grow, from the first 6 weeks to16 months when they move to the Toddler Room. It is often sad when they move up, as we develop quite a bond with them as well as their parents. The smiles and love we receive from our little ones makes my role here a very rewarding one. Our entire staff is amazing to be a part of, Thunder Hawk Care is the place to be!

Hi! My name is Amber Rothmeier, I have been with Little Thunder Hawk Care since January 2017. I graduated from Minnesota West in Granite Falls with my degree in Child Development. I worked on the Minnesota West Campus at their child care center in their Toddler Room for 7 years before coming to Montevideo.

Hello! My name is Alycia, I started working at Thunder Hawk Care in January of 2020 part time while attending Ridgewater College, in Willmar for Early Childhood. I started working in Little Thunder Hawk Care to go along with my schooling, after receiving my degree in the Spring of 2021 I was able to become a Full Time Co-Teacher in the Toddler Room. I enjoy teaching and caring for children, my favorite part about my job is being able to be apart of each child's growth and learning developments. Watching them change so much from when they first start in our room, to the day they move up.

Hello, my name is Maria! I live in Montevideo with my growing family, Alex, our son (5) and my twins (5 months)! I started at Thunder Hawk Care in February of 2020, and have been in the Toddler Room ever since. I love the age group and how much fun they are to watch play and grow.

Hello! My name is Valerie, but I go by Val. I was born in Redwing, MN, where my seven older siblings and I spent our childhood. I attended the University of Riverfalls, where I graduated in 1989 with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Shortly after graduating, I worked as a Teacher at Teddy Bear Campus in Redwing. Later, I accepted a teaching position at Sandcastle, a preschool in St Paul. In 1996, my family and I moved to Montevideo, where I began teaching at Kinder Kare (now Thunder Hawk Care) in 1997. Since then, I have worked with ages from Infants, Toddlers, and Preschool.

Hi, my name is Nancy. I moved to Montevideo from Michigan 41 years ago with my husband, and we have been married 43 years. I started my career as an educator at Kinder Kare in 1989, where Ryan and Desi both attended. While working at Kinder Kare, there was a need in our community for foster parents. My husband and I, opened our home to 19 children from 1991-2004. In July 2016, Kinder Kare, changed to Thunder Hawk Care and I continue my teaching in our 4/5 Preschool Room. For me, working with children has been a life long passion, and I enjoy watching their face beam with pride when they master a skill learned.
