Welding Class Fundraiser

The Montevideo High School Welding class is excited to take a big step forward in hands-on learning and skill development. We are raising funds to purchase and install a Star Lab CNC Plasma machine, which will allow our students to explore new possibilities in metalwork. We have already made great progress towards our goal through a grant, but we need your help to get us across the finish line.

The Progress Report:

💰 $17,280 Raised (Thanks to a grant, local donor, and other fundraising efforts!)

🚀 $10,000 Needed to reach our goal

We have already turned some donated CNC parts into great projects. We will be able to design and build much more once we have our own dedicated machine. This new equipment will help students gain valuable skills in CAD design, creativity, machine setup and operation, cleaning, customer service, and marketing. The project is cross-curricular, giving students opportunities to learn and grow in multiple areas. With access to this technology, our students will be better prepared for future careers and able to participate in more advanced projects and competitions.

Please consider supporting your local ag department and students. Your generosity will help bring our department into the future, allowing us to create custom designs, signage, fire pits, and more. Every donation makes a difference and helps us provide the best possible education for our students.

To Donate by Cash or Check: Make checks payable to ISD #129 (Memo: Welding Class). Drop off checks or cash at the MHS Office or mail to: Montevideo High School, Ag Department, 1501 William Avenue, Montevideo, MN 56265.
