This is an exciting time for you and for us as we begin planning together for your child’s first
elementary experience. Registration will be open house style from 4:30-6:30 and include
planned activities for the kids while parents register, a visit to a kindergarten classroom and a
supper served free of charge (for planning purposes, we ask that you do not bring siblings).
There will be a school bus giving rides around the block at 5, 5:30 and 6 for those that want to
take a ride and see what it's all about.
The pre-registration process will take place on Chromebooks, which will be provided at the
school. Each year in August, your back to school registration will take place online through the
school’s website, www.montevideoschools.org using the JMC parent portal login. .
The following is required for registration:
Copy of the Certified Birth Certificate (Hospital /Baptismal Certificate does not qualify)
Immunization Records (if new to the district)

🔍👀 Seeing the world up close in 2nd grade with Mrs. Blom!
Our second graders have been exploring how we use our five senses to learn about the world around us. This week, we focused on observation by using magnifying glasses to take a closer look at everyday objects!
Students compared what they saw with their naked eye versus through a magnifying glass and recorded their observations with detailed drawings. It was amazing to see their curiosity grow as they noticed new details they hadn’t seen before!
Hands-on learning like this helps bring science to life and shows how our senses help us gather information every day. Way to go, 2nd grade scientists! 🧠✨
The Ramsey classes of Ashling, Glady, Kilibarda, Opdahl, Schmitt, Blom and Weiss will perform Kitty Cat Capers at 6:00 p.m.
The Sanford classes of Sandven, Klaassen, Sannerud, Knoop, Haff, Douglas and Hanna will perform It's a Jungle Out There! at 7:15 p.m.

End of Quarter 3
Mrs. Schmitt's Kindergarten class has been busy learning and having fun the past few weeks.
Some of our classroom highlights include:
-Celebrating Read Across America Week
-Trying green eggs and ham
-Playing tic tac toe
-Learning about seasons and weather in reading
-Listening to Mrs. Schmitt read stories
-Drawing The Cat in the Hat
-Learning about dental hygiene
From mismatched socks to tutus and tinsel, the Ramsey Elementary team had a blast celebrating Dr. Seuss Week for Wacky Wednesday!
