Healthy Hawks! Is your child in need of a vaccine?
Vaccines are available through your healthcare provider, at many local pharmacies, or by calling your local public health office. Countryside Public Health offers seasonal and routine vaccinations for children and adults and can bill insurance or offer them at low or no-cost to you if you do not have insurance.

The vaccination clinic at the Countryside Public Health Montevideo Office is coming up on Friday, September 26th. Call 1-800-657-3291 for more information or to schedule an appointment.

Meet our new Multilingual Teacher at Ramsey Elementary School, Mikaylah Zimmerman!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Zimmerman, and I am the Multilingual Language Learner Teacher at Ramsey Elementary. I am so excited for this school year, to meet my students and their families! I love to hang out with my little family. My husband's name is Kyle and my daughter, Noa, is almost 9 months old. I enjoy trying new recipes, going for walks, and spending time at the lake during the summer months, but Fall is my FAVORITE season of all!

Meet Melissa Schmitt, our new Kindergarten teacher!

Hello Montevideo School District colleagues, community, and families,
I am not new to the school district but I have moved into a new position. This year I will be teaching Kindergarten. This is my 14th year teaching and my 6th year teaching in Montevideo. I live in Montevideo with my husband Mike. We have two children, Riley and Macie. In my free time, I love reading, hanging out with my family and friends, attending concerts, traveling and camping, gardening and having family movie or game nights. I am excited for the new school year! I can’t wait to meet my students and their family. I am looking forward to working with the kindergarten team and everyone at Ramsey.

School Calendar Reminder: School is closed today in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. No Summer Food Service and no Summer School.

Second graders were special guests at the school board meeting on Monday evening. They were proud to represent Ramsey by sharing the process of publishing their own writing and illustrations in their class book entitled “Wild Wonders”. It was a great opportunity for Mrs. Blom’s students to demonstrate their knowledge and excitement, face-to-face with the school board and administration. It was wonderful to hear the pride they take in the steps that it took to become publishers.
