Through the work of School Nurse Jazell Hoverson, a mobile dental unit has been coming to our elementary schools to meet some of the dental needs of our students!
Nurse Jazell worked with Children's Dental Services to schedule a dental unit to come right to the school to see and service the students in school. Some of the services the dental team provides include: exams, x-rays, cleanings, fluoride, sealants, silver diamine fluoride, fillings, crowns, extractions and other treatments. They take students that are insured, have medical assistance, and uninsured.
There is still time to sign up your student if you are interested in this children's dental service. Contact Nurse Jazell to fill out a form. We've had a great response so far! The dental unit has made three visits to Ramsey Elementary School and will make its first visit to Sanford Elementary School on November 7th.
