🌟Staff Spotlight!🌟 Meet our Agriculture teacher, MaQuelah Miner! Hi, my name is MaQuelah Miner. I am originally from Willmar, MN. I grew up on a small hobby farm, which sparked my love for agriculture early on. Through my involvement in FFA and 4-H, I gained valuable leadership experiences that ultimately lead me to a career in teaching. After high school, I attended South Dakota State University where I earned my bachelor degree in Agricultural Education. I had the unique experience to student teach during the COVID-19 pandemic at Montevideo, and I have been the Agriculture teacher now for 5 years. A few of the things I love most about my job is being able to teach a variety of classes, build strong relationships with students, and share my passion for agriculture with them. Outside of school, I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, hunting, and spending time with my animals, family, and friends. We are proud to have MaQuelah on our team! #HawkPride #StaffSpotlight

🌟Staff Spotlight!🌟 Meet our Print Room Assistant for the school district, Chanda Norby! Hello! My name is Chanda Norby. I am a Montevideo graduate (Class of ‘94, the last of the Mohawks!). I work in the district’s print room and do printing for all six school buildings in the district. Along with my job in the print room, I also worked as a testing proctor for the NWEA's, MCA’s, and the ACT's for 9 years. I live on a farm outside of Milan with my husband of 25 years, Jason. We have three children, Cale (19), Jessa(17), and Ty (17). Outside of work I enjoy reading, traveling, spending time with my family, and cheering on my kids in their activities. 🌟Staff Spotlight!🌟 Meet Allie, our Library Media Assistant at Montevideo Middle School! Hi! My name is Allie Virnig. I am from Granite Falls and graduated from YME. I am currently working toward a degree in Social Studies for Secondary Education, and would love to become a middle school teacher. I have worked with children for many years, but I knew I wanted to go into teaching when I started working at the YMCA in Marshall. I started helping out with their distance learning program, went on to do their after school program, and then continued working at their summer camp for about three years. I enjoy reading, playing tennis, listening to music, and learning new things. I love working in the library, and I am very grateful to have the chance to get to know our wonderful students every day. 🌟New Staff Spotlight!🌟 We are excited to welcome Heather Goslee to Montevideo Public Schools! Hi everyone! This is my first year as the district nurse for the Montevideo School District. I am excited for this new journey in school nursing. I was born in Montevideo and raised on a farm near Madison, MN. I am married to Kyle, who is starting his 24th year teaching here in the Montevideo School District. We have two amazing kids, our son Jace and our daughter Drew. We live out in the country with our two dogs Bucky & Blaze. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University. I have been a nurse for 12 years. I previously worked as an Oncology Certified Nurse in the Oncology/Infusion Department at CCM Health in Montevideo. Prior to working in oncology & infusion, I also worked in surgery, med/surg nursing, ER, and OB departments. Some of my favorites are: coffee, reading, baking, candles, Fall, and Christmas movies. 🌟New Staff Spotlight!🌟 We are excited to welcome Mackenzie Landmark to Thunder Hawk Territory for the 2024-2025 school year! #HAWKPRIDE I am Mackenzie Landmark! I recently moved to the area and am excited to meet the students and start teaching band and general music at the high school and middle school! I am originally from Clinton, Minnesota. Growing up, I challenged myself to see how many instruments I could learn before I graduated high school. I Graduated college from Concordia in Moorhead, MN in 2023. I live in my home with my husband, Elijah, and two dogs, Caboose and Freya. In my free time, I love to build Legos or play games. Help us welcome Mackenzie to the Thunder Hawk community!

🌟New Staff Spotlight!🌟 We are excited to welcome Adelle Kallemeyn to Thunder Hawk Territory for the 2024-2025 school year! #HAWKPRIDE Hello! I am the new special education teacher at the middle school for 5th grade this year. I am currently working towards my master’s degree at SMSU in Special Education as an Academic Behavioral Strategist. This will be my second year teaching in special education. I have a previous bachelor’s degree from Black Hills State University and Dakota State University in Communication Arts, Graphic and Website Design. Before deciding my career path in teaching, I worked on maintaining websites for 17 years, drove a school bus for 11 years and worked as a paraprofessional for 8 years. I enjoy helping students grow academically and seeing them grow up to be young adults with a bright future! I currently live on an acreage north of Lake Benton, MN with my husband, Jon, and two kids Kyle (17) and Kelly (14). I also have two cats that keep me company: Socks and Bella. When I’m not at school, I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends or watching movies. I am looking forward to a wonderful new year at Montevideo Middle School!
