Mrs. Sannerud's Classroom Spotlight!
Earlier this week, we were able to send the Girls Tennis Team off to state with colorful posters and cheers!
We are wrapping up our Animal Classification Unit in reading and will soon celebrate with an exciting Escape Room activity! The students have done a great job classifying animals into their correct groups, identifying characteristics, and explaining what makes each group unique.
In math, students participated in review “scoot” activities, moving around the room to solve problems while learning to collaborate with partners. It’s been a week full of hands-on learning, teamwork, and lots of fun!

It's National School Bus Safety Week - October 20-24, 2025!
Safe Stops. Stronger Communities.
Let's all do our part to keep our Thunder Hawks safe on their journey to and from school and promote a culture of safety in our community!
Drivers:
Stay alert. Slow down in school zones and neighborhoods.
Stop for the bus. Obey the stop-arm law every time—no exceptions!
Students:
Be on time at the bus stop and wait safely back from the road.
Use quiet voices and stay seated while the bus is moving.
Thank your driver for getting you to and from school safely every day!
Together, we can make every ride a safe one!

It was TACKLE CANCER night at the Thunder Hawk football game last Friday. Football players wore jerseys with the name of someone who is currently battling or has battled cancer. The TACKLE CANCER event raised $2,434.11, all benefiting the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund! Thunder Hawk students, Madison and Izzy with the Loco Lizards, donated $295 that they raised by selling handmade keychains and bracelets. Thanks to everyone who donated to this important cause. #TackleCancer #ThunderHawkStrong

Last week was Fire Prevention week so our class was busy making their fire posters! Along with making the posters, we also had some special guests come to our classroom to present the theme and how it pertains to the students and their families. The firefighters did a great job and the students really enjoyed having them in the classroom. We are also learning about the 3 states of matter in science and at the end of the week, we did our first experiment of the school year! We put candy corn in different fluids and observed it's reaction. It was a great way to end our week in Mr. Webb's class!

In Mrs. Lee's fourth grade classroom, we wrapped up our Matter unit in a sweet way - by seeing how all three states of matter can be found in one cup!
We also took time last week to thank and celebrate our amazing custodians at Sanford.
Each morning, we've been tuning in to the "Six Minutes" podcast and following along with the exciting story of a girl named Holiday - the students are hooked! Fourth grade really is FABULOUS!

Mrs. Suchanek’s second graders wrapped up their fairy tale/tall tale unit in the best way — with pancakes and flannels to celebrate Paul Bunyan! 🪵🥞 The kids also put on a fun readers’ theatre performance to bring their stories to life. What a great way to end the unit!

High school students in Mr. Zamora's class are focused on learning about T-Chart conversions. Mr. Zamora uses this teaching strategy to help students organize and compare information in a visual framework. The T-Chart Method supports a range of instructional goals, including reading comprehension, mathematical problem-solving, and critical thinking. #education #learning #problemsolving #GoThunderHawks

Chef John Sugimura , MN born, 2nd generation professionally trained sushi chef and graduate of the Sushi Institute of America in Little Tokyo, brought his excitement for Japanese cuisine to our students in Mrs. Koepke's, Mr. Aker's, and Mrs. Harrington's classes. Students were involved in the process of cooking, plating, and tasting.
This was an amazing treat from Chef John and Taher foods.

🎉 Homecoming Week was a blast at Ramsey! 🎉 One of the biggest highlights for our class was heading to the Pep Fest on Monday! Our students had a great time—some of their favorite moments included: 🎶 “All the music” 👋 “Seeing my cousin” 🖐️ “High-fiving the ThunderHawk” and 🎤 “Singing the Monte fight song.” We came back tired, but full of ThunderHawk pride and amazing memories! Go ThunderHawks!
