🌟Staff Spotlight!🌟 Meet our Physical Education Teacher at Ramsey Elementary School, Heather! Hello! My name is Heather Boyum. I am a Physical Education Teacher at Ramsey Elementary School, and this is my 7th year at Montevideo Public Schools. I grew up in Lanesboro, Minnesota, and I attended college at Concordia College in Moorhead. I have a family full of teachers, including my brother Dustin who teaches elementary music at Ramsey with me, my mom who teaches music, and my sister who teaches 4th grade. My dad works in the agriculture business. In addition to family teachers, my grandpa Darwin taught math at Montevideo for over 40 years, and my aunt Allison also teaches at Ramsey. I have always wanted to be a teacher, and I love teaching in my mom's home district. My passion is to help students find motivation to live healthy and be active. In my spare time I like to do jigsaw puzzles, snuggle with my dog, Oliver, golf in the summertime with friends, and go to rock concerts with my family. Due to the weather, Montevideo Public Schools will open two hours late today, Thursday, December 19. There will be no morning sessions of ECSE, Small World Preschool, or Community Ed activities. Thunder Hawk Care will open at the normal time.

🌟Staff Spotlight!🌟 Meet Trisha, teacher at Ramsey Elementary School and the Varsity Girls' Tennis coach! Hi, my name is Trisha Suchanek, and I am a second grade teacher at Ramsey and the Varsity Girls' Tennis coach. I have been teaching for eight years, and this is my third year in Montevideo. My husband and I live in town and we have two sweet daughters, Paisley and Wren. I absolutely love teaching in the community that I grew up in. The best part of being a teacher is building relationships with the students and watching them grow over the year! I love my job and I have a great staff to work with which is an added bonus! Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, playing tennis, fishing, cards and baking! Go Hawks! We're proud to have Trisha on our team! #HawkPride #StaffSpotlight

🌟Staff Spotlight!🌟 Meet Marian, one of our amazing paraprofessionals at Ramsey Elementary School! Hello! My name is Marian Anderson. Working for the school district was something I never anticipated. I worked in the business world of insurance for 50 years and retired, and then thought, "Oh, no," I need a little more! I was not ready to sit in a rocking chair! Working as a paraprofessional has been a different world for me for sure. I've enjoyed meeting new people and co-workers, and the interactions with little ones have met my social needs. My husband and I have a daughter and son-in-law (Angie and Matt) and two grandchildren. I LOVE people, and I am really involved with the VFW Auxiliary and am on the board as Jr. Vice President. 🌟Staff Spotlight!🌟 Meet our Print Room Assistant for the school district, Chanda Norby! Hello! My name is Chanda Norby. I am a Montevideo graduate (Class of ‘94, the last of the Mohawks!). I work in the district’s print room and do printing for all six school buildings in the district. Along with my job in the print room, I also worked as a testing proctor for the NWEA's, MCA’s, and the ACT's for 9 years. I live on a farm outside of Milan with my husband of 25 years, Jason. We have three children, Cale (19), Jessa(17), and Ty (17). Outside of work I enjoy reading, traveling, spending time with my family, and cheering on my kids in their activities.
